Mallory Lopez, RYT-200
Mallory started a yoga practice in 2011 as an attempt to work on her curling delivery. (Yes, curling - with the brooms and ice.) After several classes, she realized yoga was much more than just stretching. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the practice and learn as much as she could. She completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Amy Pearce-Hayden and RajaHatha School of Yoga in 2017. The pandemic changed her goals, and after sitting at a desk for over a decade, she decided she was over it and pursued her dream job. Mallory became a personal trainer in 2022. She loves bringing her yoga practice to the gym and showing her clients that yoga isn’t scary or impossible. She also loves bringing strength training to her yoga practice. You can expect some creative and challenging sequences in her class (but don’t worry, she’ll make sure you’re ready for it first.) Mallory firmly believes yoga is for everyone.
When Mallory isn’t in the gym or at the studio, she is probably riding her bike. She is a road racer on a local WFTN-B team. She is a proud dog mom. She loves to go backpacking and bikepacking. She also loves dragging her husband on bike rides around Madison. As mentioned earlier, Mallory is still curling and can thank her yoga practice for her delivery.
